Partnership Cru de Cacao.
Felchlin has joined forces with the local cocoa cooperative Yayra Glover, Elucid and mTomady to establish this project in the Suhum region. As part of this effort, Felchlin invited some of its most loyal buyers to contribute financially to the Akwaaba project. Based on the philosophy of social entrepreneurship, Cru de Cacao has therefore become a proud partner of this Health Care Program.
We pay for health insurance for the cocoa farmers and their families from the village of Nankese. This village has a total of 100 inhabitants and consists of 49 percent men and 51 percent women. In addition, there are 51 children living in the village aged 0 to 17. They have to walk an average of half an hour to get to school.
