Product information "Hot Chocolate Cru Suhum 65% Organic"
The hot chocolate or hot chocolate has gained popularity in recent years. The basic ingredient for making hot chocolate comes in a variety of forms. Regularly you see a stick or spoon dipped in a piece of chocolate. Or cocoa powder is neatly prepackaged per cup of hot chocolate. Just add milk and you're done. Or isn't it? Often a thick dollop of whipped cream cannot be missing and you see all kinds of toppings these days. With our stand-up pouch filled with finely ground dark chocolate, we go back to basics and prepare a luxurious hot chocolate in no time. In which the pure taste of cocoa comes first.

Origin chocolate for hot chocolate

We can choose from a whole range of single origin chocolates, but we specifically chose this dark chocolate with a cocoa percentage of 65%. The Suhum 65% dark chocolate comes from the cocoa region of the same name Suhum located in Ghana. It is Ghana's first organic certified cocoa region. But this is not the only reason what makes this chocolate special. In fact, we invest in this cocoa region in the Ghana Healthcare Program. With the contribution we make, we pay for the health insurance of 100 cocoa farmers and their families from the village of Nankese. By purchasing this bar bag, you also contribute to this Healthcare Program. Read more about this program here.

How do you make a hot chocolate?
There are several ways to make your own hot chocolate. Below we will explain a few of them to you.
Barista;
Do you have a nice espresso machine on your countertop and want to make a hot chocolate for 1 or 2 people? Then you can choose the 'Barista style'. Put the desired amount of mix for hot chocolate and milk ( see package) in a milk jug. Steam until it reaches 60C and serve!
Pan;
Don't have an espresso machine or want to make a larger amount of hot chocolate? Then, of course, using a pan is also an option. Put the desired amount of mix for hot chocolate and milk (see package) in a saucepan and heat to 60C.
Summer months;
Now when you think of a hot chocolate, you probably think of the cozy cold moments during autumn and winter. But after you make a hot chocolate, you can also let it cool and then chill it in the refrigerator for half an hour. This way you drink a delicious cold chocolate milk, just like you used to get at your grandparents' house as a small child. A refreshing drink during the summer months!
Alternative to milk;
Do you have a cow's milk allergy, are lactose intolerant or simply do not want to use animal products? Then choose a plant-based alternative. You can also make hot chocolate with oat or almond milk. You will then drink a 100% vegan hot chocolate and it is just as tasty!
Serving tip for hot chocolate
With hot chocolate we are easily tempted to put a big dollop of whipped cream on top. Of course you are free to do so, but we recommend serving this hot chocolate without whipped cream. That way you can taste the fantastic flavors of this hot chocolate Suhum 65%. We also selected this mix for hot chocolate on its flavor profile. It has the familiar cocoa taste, but you can also detect aromas of coffee in it. And if you taste really well, maybe black tea and blueberries as well. Would you still like whipped cream? Then whip up fresh cream yourself with a little vanilla sugar and don't add too much to the hot chocolate. Enjoy!
