Product information "Cru de Mendiants"
A Mendiants is a traditional French delicacy known for its round appearance with dried fruits and nuts. Because of our company logo, we thought it would be fun to release the Cru de Mendiants in a square and give it a contemporary twist. Originally, a Mendiants consists of four ingredients referring to the four beggars (Mendiants) of the Middle Ages, namely dried figs (Franciscans), raisins (Augustinians), almonds (Dominicans) and hazelnuts (Carmelites).
Our luxury chocolate creation Cru de Mendiants consists of pure Sao Palme chocolate 60%, roasted almonds and hazelnuts, candied oranges from Valencia and are finally finished with caramelized cocoa nibs. Due to the use of dark chocolate, the Cru de Mendiants are Vegan.
Cocoa region of Ghana
The chocolate we use for the preparation of Cru de Mendiants in our chocolate shop in Tilburg is the dark chocolate Sao Palme (60%) from an island off the coast of Ghana, São Tomé. Also called the chocolate island. The gentle and traditional roasting process releases the original and intense aromas of the cocoa bean. When tasting this unique chocolate, one experiences an interaction between an intense, balanced cocoa flavor and a "Ristretto" coffee, with a touch of sweet plums and grapefruit. Therefore, this luxury chocolate perfectly combines with the intense taste of the roasted nuts and candied orange.

Until this date, the quality of the product is good. To keep the quality optimal, we advise you to keep the product cool.
This means it is best to keep the product cool, dark and dry at a temperature between 16 and 18 °C.
